We are a team of passionate food lovers who believe in the time-honoured traditions of the American South—where grilling is an art and a meal is an event. We fell in love with the honesty of a perfectly cooked steak, the patience of low-and-slow smoking, and the joy of sharing a feast with friends and family. Our mission is to bring that experience to you, right here on Hereford Street.

We’re not from Texas, but our passion for its legendary BBQ culture is the real deal. Texas Bar & Grill was born from a simple idea: to create a welcoming, family-friendly spot in Christchurch where people could gather to enjoy authentic, fire-cooked food and genuine hospitality.
